About the city

Nakhon Sawan is located in the center of Thailand about three hours North of Bangkok

What’s the weather like in Nakhon Sawan?

The climate is divided into three seasons: Hot, rainy and cold. The hot season is very hot! The rainy season is hot with refreshing evening showers and the cold season is lovely and cool but rarely actually cold.

What is the culture like?

It’s a medium sized city with about 200,000 people, not a real tourist attraction so there aren’t that many foreigners here. There’s a decent night life and some good markets plus a lot of very good restaurants. There are also 4 large, well equipped shopping malls Because Nakhon Sawan is not a touristy place this gives you a chance to see and experience real Thailand and learn about the culture and language. The pace of life is slower and more relaxed here, the cost of living is far lower than it would be in larger cities or other touristy areas of Thailand. Some of our teachers have lived in this city for over ten years and really enjoy the place.

How much English is spoken by local people?

While the student’s English level is very high, that of the average population is much lower. You’ll pick up the local language for shopping and eating fairly quickly.

Can I contact your other teachers and ask them for their experiences?

Yes, Please do. You can contact all our staff via our facebook page www.facebook.com/yuwapatkindergarten
